King Soba adheres to the Codex Alimentarius standard for gluten free, as used by WHO (World Health Organization) and FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations). We whole-heartedly believe in good health for you and the planet.
USDA /NOP Organic Standards are strictly met by King Soba. The National Organic Program states standards as being, “food or other agricultural product [has been] produced through approved methods that integrate cultural, biological, and mechanical practices that foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. Synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, irradiation, and genetic engineering [GMO] may not be used.”
Ecocert International is the authorised USDA agent who certify King Soba products to USDA/NOP Organic Standards. Founded in 1991, Ecocert is one of the largest organic certification organizations in the world and by winning the confidence of professionals and consumers, has become a benchmark in organic certification worldwide.
Star-K Kosher certification is one of the largest and most trusted Jewish dietary certification agencies in North America. The organization supervises food products and food establishments around the world which involves regular Rabbinical supervised inspections. The source of ingredients and equipment used are inspected before and during production to verify that the food meets all religious Jewish kosher requirements.
U Pareve is a certification trademark of the Orthodox Union, one of the most notable certifying agencies for the international Jewish community. This certification is used to identify neutral kosher food, containing no meat or dairy. It also ensures that the product has not been handled, mixed, or cooked with animal derivatives of any sort.
The Organic Soil Association developed the world's first organic certification system in 1967. Recognized internationally, their organic standards are among the highest in the world and they make stringent checks in order to verify any product bearing their certification. Regular reviews by independent committees along with a rigorous consultation and approval process ensure that their standards are kept high.
The EU Organic certification ensures that all certified products comply with the EU regulations on organic farming, including strict criteria regarding environmental and animal welfare. The Canada Organic Growers mission statement is 'to lead local and national communities towards sustainable organic stewardship of land, food, and fibre while respecting nature, upholding social justice and protecting natural resources.' As such, the Canada Organic certification ensures that food complies strictly with the Organic Products Regulations. In order to meet their standard, the nature of the product content must be greater than or equal to at least 95% organic.
